Meet the team

Shannon Mullinax is the Broker at Highland Real Estate Investors. Her 25+ years of experience in commercial real estate include financial, leasing, and asset management services with a local Atlanta-area retail developer and two publicly traded REITs. Having managed a portfolio as large as 3 million square feet, Shannon is a proven deal maker who credits much of her success to her passion for the industry and the strong relationships she's built throughout her career.

In 2022, Shannon opened the Highland Real Estate Investors office to fulfill her lifelong dream of providing exceptional brokerage services to her extensive network of professionals.

Beyond real estate, Shannon is a member of Passion City Church and serves as a board member of The Andrew P. Stewart Center, located in the Pittsburgh neighborhood of southwest Atlanta. The organization provides educational enrichment, wellness resources, and affordable housing solutions to residents in the community.

Shannon and her husband, Bert Mullinax, have been married for 28 years. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law.

Bert Mullinax, a licensed Georgia Real Estate Salesperson, joined Highland Real Estate Investors in 2024. With over 25 years of experience in industrial sales and a track record as a top producer, Bert brings outstanding communication and service skills to the HREI team. He actively manages and leads the day-to-day operations of the firm’s real estate portfolio while representing both buyers and sellers in their pursuit of homeownership.

Outside of real estate, Bert is a member of Passion City Church, where he serves in Passion Kids teaching 4- and 5-year-old boys. He’s also a dedicated fitness enthusiast.

Bert and his wife, Shannon, have been married for 28 years. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law.
